Glyphs Project - Stage 2

In this stage I had to draw from the photos using tone and line only. I decided to use switch between pen and charcoal on paper. Because I want to see the variation in line and making me understand the objects better.

Charcoal Studies

These was a good first go at trying to understand the images/Pattern on the photos I had taken I then moved on the fine liner to make a simple drawing of them.

Fine Liner Studies

I then moved onto creating silhouettes of these objects this helped to start to think about how i could simplify these objects. How I created these silhouettes was firstly through creating silhouettes of the previously drawn images by putting tracing paper on top of them and using a marker pen colouring them in. I then scanned them in and touched them up in illustrator by image tracing them into silhouettes and touching any white sections up with a pen.

Silhouettes Studies
