Planning The Essay

To help create my essay I did a lot of planning to create strong and clear outline of an essay I wanted to create. The techniques I used to help plan and generate ideas for my essay were by creating mind maps and lists I also watched a few Ted talks and took notes (Ted Talks linked below).

I got my main idea from my Dad complaining to me how he could not find a specific news article online due the way the Google algorithm worked. This helped me to decide upon the idea of creating an essay based on the argument 'Is Google Bias' through initial research I found Google was definitely bias and changed my argument to 'Does Google Epitomises the Freedom of Our Modern Democratic World Free from Biases?'. I changed it to this title because more and more I researched I realised that Biases in Google were more amplified representation of our society. However, due to the word count I could not go in-depth as much as I wanted I could only skim the surface.

Ted Talks

The Ted Talk How Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google manipulate our emotions, was a useful Ted Talk that helped me to create quite a few different points in my essay.

"Google is our modern God"

This quote I found was a really good opener for my essay as it help to set the tone for my piece it was also a good stimulus for me to create my ideas for my essay.
